TidyCal (appointment booking)

Purpose:
Online appointment booking for consulting sessions. The TidyCal embed on /en/book-appointment/ only loads if you have consented to the marketing cookie category. Without consent, you only see a placeholder with a notice and can book via the contact page instead.
Data transfer to third countries:
TidyCal processes data in the USA. There is a risk that US authorities may access this data. Privacy policy: tidycal.com/privacy-policy.

Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) or Art. 31(1) revFADP (Swiss law).
SendFox (newsletter)
Provider:
SendFox, AppSumo Inc., 1108 Lavaca St STE 110-489, Austin, TX 78701, USA
Purpose:
Sending the newsletter and processing sign-up forms on the newsletter page, in the 10-Minute Check, the Credit Check, the homepage footer, and for the webinar sign-up on the webinar page (separate webinar list). The SendFox JavaScript and the sign-up forms load only after consent to the marketing category. Without consent, a placeholder with a hint to the cookie settings is shown.
Third-country transfer:
SendFox is a US provider and processes data in the USA. There is a risk that US authorities can access this data. Privacy policy: sendfox.com/privacy.

Zoom (webinars)
Provider:
Zoom Communications, Inc., 55 Almaden Boulevard, 6th Floor, San Jose, CA 95113, USA. For users in the EEA and Switzerland, processing is carried out in accordance with the Zoom privacy policy.
Purpose:
Running the live webinars. If you sign up via the webinar page, you receive the Zoom join link by email. When you take part, Zoom processes the data involved (for example name, where applicable audio and video, email address, IP address, and device and connection data). No Zoom script is embedded on this website; you join exclusively via the link sent by email.
Third-country transfer:
Zoom is a US provider and also processes data in the USA. There is a risk that US authorities may access this data. Privacy policy: zoom.com/en/trust/privacy.
Legal basis:
Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent given with the webinar sign-up) / Art. 31(1) revFADP. Sign-up to the webinar list runs via SendFox using a double-opt-in procedure.
Google Ads (conversion measurement)
Provider:
Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (controller for users in the EEA and Switzerland). Data processing is carried out by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
Purpose:
Measuring conversions from Google Ads advertising campaigns (for example, whether a visit via an ad leads to an appointment booking) and, where applicable, remarketing. The Google tag (gtag.js) is only loaded and executed on any page after you have consented to the marketing cookie category. Without consent, no Google script is loaded and no advertising cookies (for example _gcl_au) are set.
Third-country transfer:
Google also processes data in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and standard contractual clauses additionally apply. Nevertheless, there is a risk that US authorities may access this data. Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

Plausible Analytics (reach analysis)
Provider:
Plausible Insights OÜ, Västriku tn 2, 50403 Tartu, Estonia. Data hosting in Frankfurt am Main, Germany (EU).
Purpose:
Anonymous reach analysis and optimization of website performance. Plausible processes only aggregated, non-identifiable data: page views, referrers, browser and device type, and a daily-rotating hash signature of the IP address (not reversible). No cookies are set and no cross-site tracking takes place. Individual users cannot be identified.
Third-country transfer:
None. Data hosting is exclusively in the EU (Frankfurt). No transfer to third countries, no Schrems II risk.
Legal basis:
Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in website optimization and reach measurement; intrusion into privacy minimized through cookie-free design and anonymization). For Swiss users: Art. 31(1) revFADP. Provider privacy policy: plausible.io/privacy.

What this means
If you book an appointment (e.g. via the online appointment booking) or start a consulting mandate, the Ritter Bildungs- und Digitalberatung is entitled under § 7 para. 3 UWG (Germany), § 107 para. 3 TKG (Austria) and Art. 3 lit. o UWG (Switzerland) to send you emails with tips and guidance on studies, credit transfer and career, even without a separate newsletter consent.
Conditions: It must concern its own similar services, you must have been informed at the time of first contact and reminded in every follow-up email, and you must not have objected. This practice is well-established and transparently regulated across the DACH region.
Your right to object: You may object to email marketing at any time, informally. Clicking the unsubscribe link in any email is sufficient. No costs arise apart from base-rate transmission costs.
