Vienna International Studies is not a university but a broker. VIS connects working professionals from the German-speaking region with partner universities in several EU countries, mainly for part-time master and doctorate programmes.
Operator is VIS Management GmbH, based in central Vienna. Managing director is Prof. Dr. Dr. Martin Stieger, a well-known figure in Austrian higher education and continuing education with decades of experience in academic teaching, consulting and programme design.
The partner portfolio is EU-wide. Bachelor and Master run mainly through Hochschule Allensbach in Germany. Doctorate (Dr. and PhD) is offered at the public UNIBIT Sofia in Bulgaria, currently the best-running programme according to VIS. For short doctorates (PhDr., PaedDr.) there is a Slovak partner university; the DBA runs as a part-time continuing-education doctorate.
