Compare independently Hochschulnavigator To the comparison State-accredited university of applied sciences in Tyrol, called FH Kufstein Tirol until August 2026. The cooperation runs through the HOK Business School: part-time continuing-education programmes, MBA and Master in blended learning.
Hochschule Kufstein Tirol, HOK for short, is an Austrian university of applied sciences with a clear business and technology profile. For working career changers and climbers, its continuing-education arm is the interesting part.
Hochschule Kufstein Tirol was founded in 1997 and today has around 2,400 students from more than 60 nations. It is a state-accredited university of applied sciences in north-eastern Tyrol, held by the Hochschule Kufstein Tirol Privatstiftung foundation. Regular bachelor and master programmes are run by Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften Kufstein Tirol GmbH, the academic continuing education by the Hochschule Kufstein Tirol Business School GmbH. Until August 2026 the university was called FH Kufstein Tirol and its continuing-education arm International Business School. What changed is the name and the visual identity, not the legal ownership, the accreditation or the running programmes.
The cooperation with Studienflüsterer runs through exactly this HOK Business School. It organises its offer into five fields: Automotive & Mobility, Business & Finance, Real Estate & Sustainability, IT & WEB, and Marketing, Event & Design. The MBA is offered as the General Management MBA in six foci, alongside rotating part-time Master and expert programmes and compact micro-credentials. The format is consistently part-time with a blended-learning approach, that is e-learning combined with compact on-site phases, usually once a month on Friday and Saturday.
The flagship is the General Management MBA with 120 ECTS over four semesters, studied in six foci: Focus Automotive & Mobility, Focus Real Estate Management, Focus Leadership, Focus Marketing 4.0, Focus Social Work and Focus Business Psychology. Since the summer semester of 2025, following a legal reform, this MBA is also open without a completed bachelor's degree if there is enough relevant work experience. The continuing-education programmes are consistently part-time. Blended learning with e-learning and on-site phases usually once a month (Friday and Saturday) makes the MBA plannable alongside a full-time job, also at a distance from Tyrol.
Since the summer semester of 2025, following a legal reform, the General Management MBA is also possible without a completed first degree and without a school-leaving diploma, provided there is sufficient relevant work experience. A realistic route for practitioners with responsibility but no academic degree.

Yes. Hochschule Kufstein Tirol, called FH Kufstein Tirol until August 2026, is a state-accredited Austrian university of applied sciences. Its institutional accreditation by AQ Austria has been open-ended since 2012. Its degrees follow the Bologna process and are generally recognised across the European Higher Education Area. The HOK Business School's continuing-education programmes are academic further education of the university.
An Austrian university-of-applied-sciences degree follows the Bologna process. Recognition in Switzerland is assessed by swissuniversities and the SBFI per person and purpose, so a blanket statement is not possible. In the first call I assess what is realistic for your specific goal.
