How it was before
Before our collaboration I was mainly busy searching for a suitable doctoral position.

A working student in industrial engineering who wanted to do an external doctorate but didn't know how to find a suitable doctoral position, then a clear path and better preparation for the doctorate.
Before our collaboration I was mainly busy searching for a suitable doctoral position.
The moment I wanted to look for help was when it became clear to me that I don't want to work as a research assistant at the university, but want to do an external doctorate instead. However, I didn't know exactly how to find a suitable doctoral position and how to best approach this path.
Together we worked on finding a suitable doctoral position for my desired topic. The most important impulse for me was that I saw that an external doctorate in my field of interest is actually possible and that there are concrete ways to get there.
Concretely, what changed for me is that I received many important tips on academic writing and understood better how scientific publications work. In addition, a lot was also clarified organisationally. As a result, I was overall better prepared for the doctorate.
If you are unsure, ask Lars. He definitely finds the right programme that matches your wishes and your profile. What helped me most was that I finally had a clear path in front of me.
