Back to overview01 Starting point
How it was before
For the recognition as an adult educator through the wba I was missing one educational-science module. What weighed on me most was the time question. I run an academy and have a full calendar. I needed something that fits professionally, gets recognised and is doable alongside the job. Filtering that out myself from the range of universities and courses was the actual stress factor.
02 Turning point
The moment help was needed
One evening I was sitting in front of three open tabs with study programmes and had read the wba criteria for the third time. Still I didn't know which course really fits. That is when I wrote to Lars.
03 Collaboration
What we did together
Lars looked at my profile and the wba curriculum and recommended me specifically the certificate programme in business education at Allensbach Hochschule. Afterwards we went through the registration together. The most important impulse for me was that Lars did not open up ten options, but gave one clear recommendation.
04 Outcome
What changed concretely
The course ran alongside the job, on average 6 to 8 hours of study time per week. The credit transfer with the wba worked. Completed with the grade 1.7. More important than the grade, though, is that I have the missing building block towards the adult educator qualification, without having put half a year into the wrong continuing education.
Grade 1.7

05 Advice to others
What would you say to someone standing where you stood?
Find someone early who knows the system. I could have spent weeks pulling together the recognition rules myself and would still have been unsure in the end. One hour with someone who has an overview of the market saves you months.
